The Institute of Physics Colloquium

Held since 1977 The colloquium of the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is dedicated to the presentation and discussion of problems from all branches of physics, as well as the most interesting or important problems, issues and achievements in related natural sciences (mainly astronomy, chemistry, biophysics or biology, but not only). The lecturers of the Colloquium are primarily domestic and foreign scholars of established reputation, but its tribune is also open to physicists who are less well-known yet can already boast their own scientific achievements. It is held once a month, from September to June, usually on the last (or penultimate) Tuesday of the month in the Auditorium of the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.
