ON2.4 Group of physics of oxide structures

Group of physics of oxide structures ON 2.4 carries out research focusing on the technology of obtaining structures from various oxide materials, as well as on the experimental study of their physical properties and the search for potential applications. These materials are fabricated using various methods, including laser ablation, atomic layer deposition or hydrothermal method in the form of both thin films with thicknesses of a few nanometres and nanostructures, e.g. nanopowders and nanorods. Ongoing research is directed towards understanding the properties of materials and their various applications in medicine, photovoltaics, electronics, optoelectronics or the civil engineering industry. The team has to its credit numerous patents (Polish and European), application models and numerous awards won at international innovation fairs and invention exhibitions.

Head of the group:
dr hab. Bartłomiej Witkowski, prof. IF PAN
